Backwards shirts

The question

Sometimes when I am selecting a shirt to wear for the day, I just assume that the "main design" is the front. However, multiple people were astute enough to notice that I wore some shirts backwards due to this assumption. Why in the world must they put the best part of the shirt on the back? Should I continue to just wear the main design on the front, or try to prevent people from "correcting" me?
